L'Elucidari is Gaston Febus's encyclopaedia, consisting of 20 books or almost 560 pages, which brings together all the knowledge of the Middle Ages in Occitan. This manuscript was written in Occitan around 1350 to ensure the intellectual and moral education of the young Gaston III of Foix-Béarn, who would later be known as Febus.
This lecture will be presented by Maurice Romieu, emeritus lecturer in Occitan at UPPA, linguist and author.
