The Camping du Gave site is ideally located at the feet of the medieval Sauveterre-de-Béarn city walls and on the bank of the Gave d'Oloron (Oloron mountain stream), where anglers will be able to fish salmonids or sportlers can practice all kind of white-water activities. There are many trees on the site that guarantee campers shade and coolness all through the summer. The campsite offers a direct access to the Ile de la Glère, natural site considered as Sauveterre's 4th monument. The campsite has been labelled by the Pyrénées Atlantiques Department for fishing activities. The manager of the camping, M. Chrestia has a sound knowledge in all angling related matters and organizes many activities to entertain the campers throughout their stay.
