Botanical walks + creation of a herbarium of local plants

Discover the medicinal plants on the Ile de la Glère in Sauveterre-de-Béarn

Every day, we come across lots of plants without necessarily paying much attention to them. Yet these plants are full of nutritional and medicinal virtues and have been widely used in the past. It's time to reconnect with this ancestral knowledge and reclaim our knowledge of the living world around us.

We invite you to take a walk along the paths of the Ile de la Glère, which has been classified as a sensitive natural area, and admire the richness of its flora at close quarters.

We'll be concentrating on recognising around ten plants, and after the walk we'll take the time to make a herbarium and cover a few botanical points.
