Description
The PASSEM! is a race held every two years across the region of Gascony, aimed at raising funds that are then donated to projects working to preserve and promote the lenga nosta* (our language).
On the programme: demonstrations and introductions to traditional games for young and old alike, Cantèra and traditional dances.
At 3pm, “A tot vedent” is an initiative by the Landes Conservatoire to share a so-called traditional repertoire, a vehicle for creation and transmission, centred on dance music. Each year, this project culminates in performances in a ballroom setting, sometimes combined with a choreographed piece. Twelve to fifteen music and singing schools come together on stage, bringing together around 150 people, to perform a selection of 15 musical pieces.
