Paul Lay, from the Béarn region, has enjoyed a meteoric rise over the past ten years, establishing himself as one of the world’s leading jazz pianists. He is now acclaimed at the biggest festivals, whether performing solo or alongside other musicians or singers. We are fortunate that he has done us the honour of returning to his native region and choosing Orion for this occasion. Thanks to his classical training – first in Toulouse and then at the Paris Conservatoire – he is able to move effortlessly between styles. And we can be sure that this is exactly what he will do here.
