Exposition Stolen Memory, les objets de la mémoire de la persécution nazie

The #StolenMemory travelling exhibition stops off in Salies for a few weeks! A veritable place of remembrance, this maritime container has been fitted out to display photos of the personal belongings of concentration camp prisoners, to raise public awareness of the history of Nazi persecution. Inside: watches, wedding rings, photos, jewelry, objects stolen by the Nazis from their victims as they entered the concentration camps. Thousands of personal effects preserved in the Arolsen Archives (Germany), which are still trying to find the families of their owners. The exhibition can be complemented by a visit to the Camps de Gurs, 30 km from Salies (free admission every day of the week).
