And now comes the 45th heste de la saü: the eagerly-awaited salt festival!
Salies-de-Béarn will be in full swing in the city of salt, with conviviality and good humor the watchwords. Almost 18,000 visitors in 2025, 97 exhibitors on the market! What a reference!
Salisiens from all over the world, enthusiasts of Béarn traditions and festival-goers alike will gather around the casetas for refreshments, singing and dancing. Or along the parade of floats in the streets of Salies or at the Bayaà for the tiradous or herradinette races... Not forgetting the traditional market in the shady little streets... A feast for the eyes, ears and stomach. En aban!
Don't forget to bring your salt sachet (2?), a real passport to the festival!
