To mark the 9th Echappées musicales du camp de Gurs, the Amicale du Camp de Gurs invites you to a commemorative concert featuring the Manouche band Tekenes.
This flexible ensemble ranges from a duo to an octet and draws its music from the rich heritage of the Traveller community, encompassing traditional Manouche songs, tango, Spanish music, Manouche and Catalan rumba, as well as classical, baroque and contemporary music.
This fusion produces music that is at once generous, melancholic, festive and nostalgic, capturing all the colours and emotions of this vast and mysterious nomadic people.
